i received a call from a girl fighting with her guy friend about the spelling of squeak.
girl: "yes, operator how do you spell the world "squeak"?
me: "ma'am it's spelled s-q-u-e-a-k. is there anything else that i can help you with?"
girl: "could you kindly tell that to my friend? he insists there's a w there somewhere."
me: "sir i apologize but you spell squeak with s-q-u-e-a-k. there's no w."
guy: "what do you mean there's no w? you stupid bi*ch! (hangs up)


oh yes. we do get calls like that. some take "information" literally. they ask us about spelling. sometimes they call us up just to ask who the 8th president is. hay, another interesting day at work : )
