TRAINING: we just wrapped up week one of training so it means we're through with all that accent neutralization crap. like the name suggests, the course is is taken to improve one's accent, pronunciation and use of liaisons. they evaluate this through the voice recordings that you had. at the end of the day, they ask you to record your voice while reading a paragraph. by thursday i'd know if i passed... so its all hanging by the moment. we have also taken up the different states and its capitals. im proud to say that ive memorized the american map by heart. but the pronunciation of the cities are killing me! especially in the new york and new jersey states. hell. we're also through with lessons on american time. i finally understand the difference between standard time and daylight savings time. ano ang koneksyon nito sa buhay ko? wala.


things that i have learned during the first week of training:
1. that i am the youngEST in my batch. when i said i graduated last march 28 they all clapped their hands and congratulated me. apparently, i have a classmate who has been working since 1989, another who have three children already and a fil-am giant who's bald.
2. that it's not safe to leave your spill-proof mug in the drawer even if it's inside the box which has your name on it. someone took it!!!! darn!!!
3. that you can turn into a coffee addict fast. i do not drinnk coffee but i'm left with no other choice especially when it's THAT cold in the office. so in one day i think i drink about five cups of coffee-cream. i realize now that it's not healthy. it's not the cold that's making my bones chill. it's the caffeine that's causing me my early parkinsons symptoms.
3. that an officemate has a "thing" for me. for peter's sake he's 24 years old. not that i have anything against older guys but everyone knows that i have a boyfriend. so why does he have to hit on me? dios ko e ang yabang-yabang non. gusto nya lagi syang may-say sa lahat ng bagay. nakakairita. kada magkakasalubong kami pinangingiti nya ako. ano ako? clown. bat daw lagi akong malungkot at tahimik... nako! mahilig sa bonding chuva. kailangan daw batch namen close so lahat kailangan may DSS na ishare. hello??? dapat talaga di na nya nakita yung drawing ko. wala lang naman yun eh, as usual isang eye na abstract chuva. aha! syempre fine arts student sya so may-say na naman ang loko. tuturuan daw niya ako. di pa nakuntento sinulat pa lahat ng colors that look good with each other. "that you spell colours with a U when you're an arts student." magsession-session daw kme minsan. good lord, keep him away from me!!!
